The Cosentino Group held its annual Cosentino 100 convention at the Riviera Maya in Mexico from 22-25 January, bringing together its main partners and customers from North America. For many years, the Convention has been not only a company meeting, but one of the most important and unmissable events in the North American stone, decoration and remodelling sector. This year, the Convention celebrated its twentieth anniversary with an all-time record number of 415 attendees, most representing the more than 180 American and Canadian manufacturing and processing companies that are Cosentino’s clients.
Once again, the Convention played host to CEOs from some of the most important sector associations in the region, such as the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), the Marble Institute of America (MIA), the National Association of the Remodelling Industry (NARI), the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Trendsetters and prominent figures in the world of design and decoration were also in attendance, including designer Daniel Germani and Alison Victoria, founder of the company “Alison Victoria Interiors” and a prominent US TV personality.
However, the biggest surprise and attraction this year was without a doubt renowned supermodel and entrepreneur Cindy Crawford, ambassador and face of the Silestone® brand, who was in charge of officially opening the Convention. In an interview with Alison Victoria, she opened up to attendees about her own personal experiences with design and decoration, and shared her journey with Cosentino so far.
The 2018 Convention slogan was, “At the Top with Cosentino”, recognising the commitment between Cosentino and all the attendees, and strengthening the bond that goes beyond a simple client relationship. The event also saw the showcasing of the latest products from the Spanish multinational, such as the Silestone® Eternal Collection and its innovative N-Boost technology, as well as the Dekton® Industrial Collection and the latest collaboration between Cosentino and Daniel Germani, the unique DeKauri bath credenza.
Cosentino’s President Francisco Martínez-Cosentino personally extended the company’s thanks to all the invitees for contributing to the growth of Cosentino’s business in North America year after year. According to the projections for 2017, the company definitively reached the status of a “Billion Dollar Company” in sales last year. At the same time, during his opening speech, he emphasised that “although we’ve made many accomplishments, and Cosentino is considered the top company in the world in the stone and quartz surface industry, we are still looking to the future and innovating to build a solid base from which the whole sector can grow. The improvements to our production and distribution capacity – with new Centres, Cities and Hubs – and the constant innovations in terms of products are proof of this. Cosentino is continuing on with strength and leadership towards market niches like floors, façades and large projects to consolidate a shared, responsible and sustainable project.”
